Cancer Awareness Program (CAP):

@ Schools:

The CAP is done primarily at government schools for kids in KG till class 12. These young audiences are given awareness about health, education and cancer and how to prevent oneself from diseases.Different age group children are given information and knowledge using relevant and useful methods. Some of the focused programs that are done to enthuse and share information with kids are through Magic shows; Puppet shows; Skits/plays; Game shows; Story telling; Quiz programs; Direct sharing of information; by use of placards. Additionally, HCP also conducts "Pads for Sisters" program for girls only in class 7 and above. This is primarily done in partnership with Eco Femme (an NGO) to create critical awareness about menstrual cycle and hygienic ways to manage it in an eco-friendly manner. We also freely distribute eco-friendly pads made of cloth to girls. HCP has successfully conducted 95 Cancer Awareness programs (CAPs) in various schools since 2016.

@ Slums/Villages/Societies:

The CAP is done for men and women belonging to the lower strata of the society. There are 4 main programs that we do at slums to create awareness about health, hygiene and cancer prevention. Apart from sharing information on general awareness about health care; HCP does Door to Door program to sensitize women, men and kids. HCP also conducts Breast Cancer awareness and screening program. Further, "Pads for Sisters" program is also carried out extensively in the slums for girls and women folk. HCP has successfully conducted 45 CAPs since 2016.
